Lord Kirkhope is a CEF Patron and a former MEP for Yorkshire and Humber and Leader of the Conservatives in the European Parliament. Before becoming an MEP, he was the MP for Leeds North East and Immigration minister.

Lord Kirkhope is a CEF Patron and was a former MEP for Yorkshire and Humber (1999-2016) He was Leader of the Conservatives in the European Parliament for 6 years and spokesman there on Justice and Home Affairs. Before becoming an MEP, he was the MP for Leeds North East.(1987-97) Lord Kirkhope served in the governments of both Margret Thatcher and John Major, initially as a Whip before being appointed the Immigration minister in 1995. In 2016, he was created a life peer.
