On Thursday 31st of January the Right Honorable Dominic Grieve QC MP was hosted at Royal Holloway, University of London in an event by YCGE and the Conservative Association of Royal Holloway.
The event was very well attended with a full lecture theatre. The topic being discussed was ‘The State of Brexit’.
Dominic began his presentation by setting out the multitude of problems we are currently experiencing and his own personal relationship to Brexit. He was able in particular to draw on his experience as a barrister and Attorney General to point out many of the legal issues that had arisen as a result of the referendum.
Dominic reiterated so his support for a People’s Vote and his view that this is the only way to resolve the deadlock that has emerged in Parliament.
Dominic then answered several questions from the audience related to his stance on a People’s Vote as well as many of the potential political and parliamentary ramifications that could arise from different Brexit scenarios.
We are looking forward to hosting The RT Hn Dominic Grieve QC MP at Oxford University on the 1st of March and at King's College London on the 7th of March.
