Bio

Flick Drummond has been in public life for more than 30 years and has the honour of being the MP for Meon Valley since 2019.

Outside of parliament she has been an Ofsted lay inspector and school governor, and education and its reform remains one of her passions.

Foreign affairs are also an area of interest and, in particular, Yemen where she was born.

Flick has also been a Winchester city councillor and she was MP for Portsmouth South from 2015 to 2017.

In between her two spells in parliament, she was the Chair of the SE Region Veterans Advisory and Pensions Committee, a Board Trustee of the National Citizens Service as well as local charities.

Flick set up the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Cyber Security and the APPG on Women and Work in her first term as an MP.

Presently, she is a Parliamentary Private Secretary (PPS) at the Department of Work and Pensions - an unpaid junior position in the Government.
